Coming Soonom human face-to-face sculptural expressions to individually created bowls, vessels & sculptures using kiln sculpting, kiln casting, fusing, & fire. Then Sandcarving, hand colored stain and colorization and fine metal inlay & overlay. She is one of the few artists in the USA who practice this technique. In addition Peggy is one of the few glass artists to teach the Verre’ Eglomise glass process and technique.
ams. Stewart gives voice to the human spirit through her glass sculpting o the Heroes Of Woodstock™ and the “Summer Of Love”. A growing collection featuring the faces of the great musicians from the Woodstock & Summer Of Love festival that defined a generation a half century past. She continues her decades long fascination and experimentation with translucence and transparency, color and light, and movement and texture.
Ms. Stewart has studied at Pilchuck Internation Glass School in Stanwood Washington, Academe’ Taller in Barcelona Spain, She had the honor of assisting Team Chihuly during the installation of the exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. Her work is held in many museums, public and private collections worldwide.
She has been working in warm glass for over 15 years. She has developed new techniques and methods to create her works of art. And actively uses the Verre’ Eglomise technique. Verre’ Eglomise is a process that dates back over 400 years.
